![]() Lama-Lama Game Reserve is part of the Leeuwfontein Collaborative Reserve, comprising nearly 3000 hectares of unspoilt bush. It is part of Dinokeng - previously known as NEGI (North Eastern Gauteng Initiative) of the Gauteng Government. The Gauteng Government is also a participant in the collaborative reserve, being the owner of almost half of the area of the reserve. In terms of the constitution of the reserve, the Gauteng Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Environment is responsible for the ecological management of the reserve. The reserve is managed by the executive committee of the owners association created in terms of the constitution. The two private owners and GDace have representation on the executive committee. Leeuwfontein Collaborative Reserve forms part of Dinkokeng, the initiative of the Gauteng Government to create a premier tourist destination in the North-Eastern quadrant of Gauteng Province. The initiative aims to create various tourism hubs, i.e. Cullinan, - Window into Diamond mining and Window into Victorian Africa, Themed Cultural Centres, Dinokeng Big Five Game Reserve and various cultural centres/nodes. The vision is to create a "Big Five Reserve" in the area. This is planned in three phases:
